A six-day Bangladesh Tobacco Control Leadership Program was held in Cox’sBazar from July 28, 2018 to 02nd August, 2018. As a part of the Bloomberg Initiative to Reduce Tobacco Use, the program aimed to develop and enhance leadership in countries experiencing the greatest burden of disease and death from tobacco use by building capacity to develop, implement and enforce effective tobacco control policy interventions. The Program was organized by Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health in collaboration with the National Tobacco Control Cell, Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, The union, Vital strategies and Bloomberg Initiative other partners and Bangladesh Center for Communication Programs (BCCP). Around 80 participants were present from Government of Bangladesh, faculties of different public and private universities, non-government organizations and media agencies.
