An International webinar on ‘Smokeless Tobacco Control In South Asia: Challenges and Opportunities’ was held on June 3, 2020 at 4.00 PM on the cloud-based video conferencing tool ‘Zoom’. Bangladesh Network for Tobacco Tax Policy (BNTTP), Tabinaj and Tobacco Control and Research Cell (TCRC) jointly organized this webinar.

Renowned tobacco control experts including Mr. Ashish Kumar Pandey, Deputy Director (Tobacco Control) of The Union; Mr. Tara Singh BAM, Deputy Regional Director of The Union Asia Pacific; Mr. Shamim Haider Patwary, Bangladesh Parliament Member (Gaibandha-1); Mrs. Farida Akhter, Convenor of Anti-Tobacco Women’s Alliance (in Bangla called Tamak Birodhi Nari Jote TABINAJ) and Executive Director of UBINIG; Prof. Dr. Rumana Huque, Department of Economics, University of Dhaka and Convenor of Bangladesh Network for Tobacco Tax Policy (BNTTP) were the panel members in this webinar.
