BER and BNTTP organized a live talk show on Impact of Tax Rise on Quitting Tobacco Use

Bureau of Economic Research (BER) and the Bangladesh Network for Tobacco Tax Policy (BNTTP) jointly organized a live talk show on the occasion of World No Tobacco Day entitled ‘The Impact of Tax Rise on Quitting Tobacco Use’. It was broadcast on BNTTP’s Facebook page on May 27, 2021 at 4 pm.

Honorable Member of Bangladesh Parliament Kazi Firoz Rashid (Dhaka-6), Dhaka University Professor of Economics, Focal Person of BER and Convener of the BNTTP, Rumana Haque and the National Professional Officer of the World Health Organization, Syed Mahfuzul Haque were present as a speaker on event. The talk show was hosted by Sushant Sinha, Special Correspondent of Jamuna Television and a researcher on tobacco control.
